Causes of "SIM Not Valid" Error

Modified on Thu, Sep 24 at 11:29 AM

If you insert an activated SIM card into your smartphone and "Invalid SIM" is displayed, the following reasons may be responsible.

● The device is SIM-locked

⇒ Please check with the carrier or retailer where you purchased your smartphone for instructions on how to unlock the SIM lock.

● Poor contact or dirty SIM card

⇒ If fingerprints or dirt are attached to the SIM card, the device may not be able to read it properly.

Gently wipe the SIM card and SIM tray with a soft cloth, reinsert the card, and try restarting your device.

● SIM card malfunction or physical damage

⇒ If the SIM card is damaged or scratched, it may no longer be readable by your device.

In this case, a SIM card replacement is required. Please contact Customer Support at the details below.
