Using International Roaming

About the Roaming Service

This service allows you to connect to local mobile networks in the countries you are staying in without using a Wi-Fi router.

The service is available without an additional application or registration only for customers subscribed to the $60 Premium Plan.

Service Details & Rates

・Internet - High-speed 5GB ※Your connection speed will be reduced after 5GB of usage.

・SMS - Unlimited

・Calls - $0.25 / minute ※Charges apply to both outgoing and incoming calls, as well as calls made using optional services.

※Roaming charges will be billed as “Usage Charges” on the invoice for the following month.

Note: Data and voice services using roaming may have an unstable connection depending on the area of the country you are staying in.

Please adjust the following settings on your smartphone.

iPhone Settings

[1] Turn on Data Roaming

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Cellular.
  3. Tap Cellular Data Options.
  4. Turn on Data Roaming.
    → You are all set when it shows as “On” (green).

[2] Turn on Voice Roaming (if needed)

  1. Under Cellular Data Options, turn on Voice Roaming.
    → This is required if you want to make and receive calls while abroad.

Android Settings

[1] Turn on Data Roaming

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Select Network & Internet or Connections.
  3. Tap Mobile Network.
  4. Turn on Roaming or Data Roaming.
    → You are all set when it shows as “On.”

[2] Voice Roaming (if needed)

On some devices, you may also need to enable Voice Roaming separately:

  • Look under Settings > Mobile Network > Advanced Settings, or
  • If you see an option such as VoLTE or Voice Roaming, turn it on.
